Evening skincare routine

Hello All,

So following my top tips for creating a skincare routine (which I hope you enjoyed), I thought I would share with you the products that I like to use in my current skincare routine. My skin is combination, oily in my t-zone with some dry patches. I also have been suffering with pretty bad breakouts on the sides of my cheeks.

Clinique Take the Day Off Balm

I have spoken of my love for this product many times, its fragrance free, light and does an incredible job of removing every last speck of makeup. It is so calming massaging this in and just feeling the makeup melt away. It is pricey but well worth it for the effects it has.

Neutrogena visibly clear, rapid clear treatment

Like I said I have been suffering with pretty much constant breakouts for some time now and I know these products are gimmicky and probably don't work, for example this doesn't visibly reduce spots in 24 hours but I use it anyway and I don't really know why. I don't stick religiously to this product but some form of spot treatment is necessary for me.

No.7 Protect & Perfect Night Cream

I stole this one off my mum as I didn't have one and didn't want to spend the money, which is bad I know. This is an extremely intense and quite heavy night cream that really moisturises well. In all honesty it is probably a little too heavy for my skin type and once it is gone, I doubt I will repurchase this.

Benefit It's Potent Eye Cream

I got this for Christmas and used it occasionally but now my skincare routine is in full swing I slather this stuff on every night. I suffer with puffy under eyes and this really helps to soothe them. At the end of the day this is pricey for just an eye cream and I am sure there are drugstore alternatives which will do the same job.

I know this isn't the most comprehensive of skin care routines but it is a start. If anyone has a toner they would like to suggest to me then please let me know as well as any good night creams you have discovered.

Please follow me on bloglovin' or leave me a comment as it really does brighten my day.

Until next time,

RebeccaAnn.

  1. I wouldn't recommend using a toner! They were originally used to remove any residue left behind by soap, but the cleansers and face washes we have these days don't leave residue behind. Also, a lot of toners have alcohol in which is obviously really bad for your skin! As long as you remove your makeup well and cleanse your skin, you'll be fine! Using as little products as possible on your skin and using them consistently is much better, I really hope this helped you!
